Sign-ups

Current Students

Forty free sessions are available each week for students. Each session is one hour long. Students have the ability to sign up for 2 sessions per week, as long as any of the 40 sessions are still available. If the 40 free sessions have been filled and/or a participant wishes to train more than two sessions a week, each additional session is $15.00. Multiple sessions can be purchased at one time. Sessions expire one year from date of purchase, are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Sessions must be cancelled 24 hours in advance. If sessions are not properly cancelled a $15 improper cancellation fee must be paid in full before the participant's next session (if session is already scheduled). Further sessions will not be scheduled until the improper cancellation fee is paid.

A list is available at the SRFC Welcome Center beginning at 5:30 AM on sign up dates listed below. These are not actual reservations for training sessions, they are only to dictate a first-choice when signing up for training sessions at 5:45 AM.

To sign up:

KU ID is required. At 5:45 AM names will be called from the list set out at 5:30 AM. As your name is called, you will be able to look at a schedule and sign up based on your availability. Participants may only sign up for themselves. Once a name is called, if individual is not available, they will have to wait till the end of the sign up. Initial Personal Training Paperwork is required to be completed at sign up.

If you missed the 5:45 AM sign up, you will be able to sign up if there are any of the 40 FREE sessions available in the Administrative Office of the SRFC.

Personal Training for Non-Students

KU Recreation Services offers Faculty, Staff, KU Affiliates, Retirees, Spouse and Domestic partners an opportunity to work one-on-one with personal trainers. Sessions can be individual or with partners. Each one-hour individual session is $15. Two-person, one-hour sessions are $25. Fees MUST be paid at the time of scheduling. Receipt is to be taken to the session for proof of purchase. Multiple sessions can be purchased at one time. Sessions expire one year from date of purchase, are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Sessions must be cancelled 24 hours in advance. Improper cancellations will result in the loss of session and fee.

Faculty, Staff, KU Affiliates, Retirees, Spouse and Domestic partners interested in utilizing SRFC Personal Trainers need to complete the sign up form available at the SRFC Administrative Office (Rm 103) or complete this information plus deliver/fax these completed forms to the SRFC Administrative Office in order to begin utilizing the personal training program: (Only those over the age of 40 or medically high risk will need to complete the medical clearance.)
