Annual Steam Shutdown: May 19-24
•There will be NO HOT WATER May 19-24 in the ASRFC.
•This will affect towel service, showers, and fluctuating temps in the building.

Private Fitness Classes & Presentations

Private group fitness classes, by request:
Do you need to entertain a group of people? Want to bring a goup together? Need some stress relieft? Recreation Services and KU Fit are here to help. We are now offering private group fitness classes either on-site or at your location by request. Sessions will be led by a nationally certified KU Recreation Services group fitness instructor or personal trainer.

Policies: Class options are subject to availability of instructors and space. All participants must sign a waiver of liability prior to participanting. Fees must be paid in full prior to session. 24 hours advanced notice is required for cancellation and re-scheduling, otherwise loss of fee.

Class Options

    Yoga: A relaxing, yet challenging class designed to improve posture, flexibility and muscular strength. A variety of poses and level options will be demonstrated. KU Fit yoga is based on Yoga Fit principles of fitness yoga.
    Pilates: A series of Pilates exercises focusing on the power-house (abdominals, hips, back and buttocks). Pilates is designed to strengthen and tone muscles, improve posture, provide flexibility and unite the body and mind.
    Hip Hop Hustle TM: So you think you CAN dance? From the makers of Turbo Kick, this class is completely pre-designed hip-hop dance class that's easy to follow. If you can Hustle, you can Hip Hop Hustle TM!
    Turbo Kick TM: Awesome music paired with movement patterns, specific to the ancient sport of Muay Thai Boxing. The ultimate cardio challenge complete with a sport specific warm-up, bouts of intense intervals, easy to follow combos, kickboxing specific training and a Tai-Chi like cool-down. Try Turbo!
    Zumba TM: You've heard the buzz..... Check out Zumba! A Zumba certified instructor will lead you through a fusion of Latin, international & pop music paired with hot dance movements for fitness fun!

    Butz n' Gutz: Just like it sounds! An entire class devoted to working the abdominals and glutes!

    Other classes may be considered by request. Classes that utilize equipment may only take place at the Ambler Student Recreation Fitness Center.
