Water Outage Mon., 5.20 from 8-10 am
•Due to testing for backflow, there will be no water available in the ASRFC.

Racquetball Court #3 Closed Indefinitely
•Due to shattered glass, this court is closed.

Annual Steam Shutdown: May 19-24
•There will be NO HOT WATER May 19-24 in the ASRFC.
•This will affect towel service, showers, and fluctuating temps in the building.
•Thank you for your understanding during this planned shutdown.

•Outdoor Pursuits now has bikes available to rent.
•Mountain and Comfort bikes are available.

Cycling

Cycling is a fee-based service which is part of the KU Fit classes. A KU Fit pass is required to take participate in unlimited amount of Cycling classes, including all KU Fit group fitness classes during the specified times and dates. Participants must present a KU Fit pass and KU ID in order to participate.

15 Keiser M3+ bikes per class. They are located on the 2nd level CRT (Cardiovascular Resistance Training) in the open circle.

Ambler Student Recreation Fitness Center members may use the Keiser M3+ Cycles when KU Fit Cycle classes are not in session. Please refer to the guidelines at the bottom of the page when cycling during open cycle times:

Reserve a bike

How to Reserve a Bike:


•If this is the first time you are making a reservation, a login will need to be created. Click Don't have a login?
•Enter your KUID as your Member Number. Click Continue
•Create a username, password and enter your email address in the indicated areas. Click Continue.
•Once you have created your user name and password, you can login at the original screen from that point forward.
•Your personal information page will display. Click Scheduler, then Make a Reservation on the left side of the page.
•Choose Date of class (bikes may only be reserved up to 24 hours in advance), Category (Indoor Cycling) and Service (class name: Cycle Xpress, Power Pedal, etc).
•Select Peferred Time of Day (must be the EXACT start time).
    a. Under Choose Resource, click Select All to highlight all available resources
    b. Click Submit.
•Select one of the available bikes by clicking Add to Cart next to the desired bike.
• A booking receipt will be displayed. You may print this page for your records, but it is not necessary for participation. Your instructor will print a roster of reserved bikes before class to check in reservations. Don't forget to bring your KU Fit Pass though!
•If you are having difficult logging in, please contact us at 785.864.1370 or stop by the adminstrative office, room 103 of the ASRFC.

    Policies

  1. Food and drink are NOT allowed in the Cycling Area except for water.
  2. Cycle Area closes 15 minutes proper to class starting.
  3. Only authorized staff is to operate audio equipment.
  4. Cycles Bikes may not be removed from the Cycling Area at any time.

PLEASE DO:

  1. Cycle between 60-110 RP for your safety.
  2. Ask a CRT or certified Keiser instructor to help you fit the cycle to your optimal position.
  3. Return all bikes to proper location if the bike was rotated.

PLEASE DO NOT:

  1. Pedal backwards. This will break the machine.
  2. Remove cycle saddle.
  3. Cycle with feet out of the pedal cages.
  4. Cycle with extremely heavy resistance, causing minimal rotation.
  5. Cycle with body behind the seat.
  6. Rest the entire body on the front handlebars.
  7. Use the cycle to aid in stretching.
